For Darek and my 6th anniversary we went to the Atlantis hotel in the Bahamas (we were able to fly free as well as get a GREAT deal on a hotel room/transportation). It was a wonderful experience. I would suggest spending at least 5 days there because it takes so long to get there. We were able to spend 4 days away from home, but sadly two of those days were spent traveling to and from the Bahamas. As a forewarning to anyone planning on going, everything is expensive. A sandwich will run you about $16 and a glass of soda is about $4....and that doesn't include refills. It was nice to be able to reconnect with my hubby since the day to day roller coaster ride makes it easy to forget how important it is to spend time together. I can't wait to go back, and the next time we will plan on taking the kids. A great place for couples and/or families. Sorry of none of these make sense, it is late, and it has been a LONG day!
